Prayer Requests:
Please keep the entire team in prayers especially Andre. He has been having slight fever, cough, headaches and bodyaches since Tuesday and has been on MC for 2 days. Please pray that God will heal him and he'll recover quickly to join in the event.

• Pastor Kris is preaching this week, for the closing of James, please pray for her.
• Paul was admitted to KK Hospital since last Thursday. His current condition is still not that good.. Although his excess air had been removed, he is not fully healed yet.. He is required to stay for another 7 days..and if he is not fully healed within this 7 days, he would need to go for another operation and it wouldnt be a minor operation anymore.. so please pray for our brother ya...
  
• Huimin needs prayer for her final year project.. she is the leader of the group and is facing alot of project problems.. please pray that everything would go smoothly...

1. Please keep the pastors in prayer, Ps James, Ps Kris and Ps Xiaohua has went to Taipei for the Bread of Life meeting with the other pastors from other branch BOL. They went off on Tuesday (23 Jan), and will only be back on Sunday (28 Jan).


2. Please pray for the Bread of Life meeting that is held in our mother church in Taipei.

4. Cindy would be leaving for Italy on 30th January. her flight would be at 1130pm. She will be taking Air France, 14 hours of flight to France then to Turin. Please pray for journey mercy and her 6 months stay in Turin.


5. Please pray for Huimin, she will be leading her very first praise and worship for this week.

Balgretto by Mcken Wong

Deep in the woods of the southern world,
Lay a town of idols in gold.
Shimmering amongst the merry making and wine,
It was the town of Balgretto.

Each day when midnight strikes,
Chants and songs echo through the air.
The town of Balgretto prepares itself,
For the sacrifice of blood in the devil’s lair.

Idols of gold lined the altar,
A shiny bowl was placed.
Three men took a step forward,
Each holding a knife reflecting their gaze.

A swift movement followed.
Where blade and skin would meet.
Opening up a wound on the shoulders,
Where the crimson blood would drip.

Into the bowl the blood went,
Swirled together by the priest.
"Let the Master appear." He chanted.
"Let the Master drink from this."

The priest hurried a step back.
And soon a familiar sight emerged.
Smoke was spiraling before the altar,
The devil was soon to converge.

Looking at the people with his fiery eyes,
The devil was a hideous sight.
"I shall drink this blood." He sneered.
"Balgretto will never see light!"

Clasping the bowl with his scaly hands,
The blood slid down his throat.

Footprints I & II
One night I had a dream.
I dreamed I was walking along the beach with God, and across the sky flashed scenes from my life.

For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonged to me, the other to God. When the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand.

I noticed that many times along the path of life, there was only one set of footprints. I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in my life. This really bothered me and I questioned God about it.

"God, you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way, but I noticed that during the most troublesome time in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why in the times when I needed you most, you would leave me."

God replied.
"My precious precious child, I love you and I would never never leave you during your times of trials and suffering. When you see only one set of footprints it was then that I carried you."

Now imagine you and the Lord Jesus walking down the road together. For much of the way, the Lord's footprints go along steadily, consistently, rarely varying the pace. But your prints are a disorganized stream of zigzags, starts, stops, turnarounds, circles, departures and returns.

For much of the way it seems to go like this. But gradually, your footprints come more in line with the Lord's, soon paralleling His consistently. You and Jesus are walking as true friends. This seems perfect, but then an interesting thing happens: your footprints that once etched the sand next to the Master's are now walking precisely in His steps. Inside His larger footprints is the small 'sandprint', safely enclosed. You and Jesus are becoming one.

This goes on for many miles. But gradually you notice another change. The footprint inside the larger footprint seems to grow larger. Eventually it disappears altogether. There is only one set of footprints. They have become one. larger. Eventually it disappears altogether. There is only one set of footprints. They have become one.

Again, this goes on for a long time. But then something awful happens. The second set of footprints is back. And this time it seems even worse. Zigzags all over the place. Stops. Starts. Deep gashes in the sand. A veritable mess of prints.

You're amazed and shocked. But this is the end of your dream. Now you speak. 'Lord, I understand the first scene with the zigzags and fits and starts and so on. I was a new Christian, just learning. But You walked on through the storm and helped me learn to walk with you.'

'That is correct.'

'Yes, and when the smaller footprints were inside of Yours, I was actually learning to walk in Your steps. I followed You very closely.'

'Very good. You have understood everything so far.'

'Then the smaller footprints grew and eventually filled in with Yours. I suppose that I was actually growing so much that I was becoming like you in every way.'

'Precisely.'

'But this is my question, Lord. Was there a regression or something? The footprints went back to two, and this time it was worse than the first.'

The Lord smiles, then laughs. 'You didn't know?'
He says. 'That was when we danced'."

i am not sure if anyone of you know who is Auntie Mu Eng, she is from our church. ( i also dont know her actually.) she have two children and both had some illnesses. and her eldest daughter (7 yrs old) had just went to heaven to be with our Lord.....

let us all uphold the family in prayer.....

and we shall give thanks that the family are saved. and that God has brought this little princess to stay by His side now, so she no longer have to suffer because of the illness.

let tis be an alert to all of us also. to treasure our loved ones. and to pray ferverntly for them especially when they are unsaved.
